Weekly Report 24 ~ Think

Prior to spring break, in ISM we have fully begun putting hours into our final products and building up our research and final product logs. So far, I have already finished working on the social media posts with Ally during my mentor visit earlier this month, after creating them and scheduling their posting time for the following Tuesday morning. By doing this, I was able to see what went into the production of a promoted social media post, and how to create and schedule one by myself. These posts are made for all of the shows at Granada Theater and are posted daily on all three of their main social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Because these posts are promoted, they have a tracker embedded within them that allows the marketing team at Granada to see information about when, where, and how many tickets were bought through each outgoing posts.

Understanding how to promote via social media and being able to analyze the sales data made from the promoted posts is something that is used in marketing for any business. It allows you to adjust your promoting techniques and see where and who the majority of the profit and attention is coming from.
